But We're Losing, Ya know!??

"2002 and 2003 was the first time we responded to terror attacks by doing something they REALLY don't want us to do. We cold-bloodedly and effectively brought democracy and freedom to two Islamic countries, and most importantly, one of them right in the Arab heartland. If our project in Iraq succeeds, al-Qaeda and its project are locked out of that country forever. They know it, they've said it, they've thrown their best efforts into the counter-attack."

That quote comes from an article here, and comes complete with a little jab at the Messiah Candidate and a poke at my favorite Presidential failure. There's also a touching photo of Iraqi girls... FEMALES mind you, at school(!) with their new chalkboards.
Yeah, you can't help but be reminded of the wisdom in that old song...
"War, HUH!, Good God y'all, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!"

Although you wouldn't know it watching most news programs, freedom is extending it's cancerous tendrils more and more into the heart of Arabville.
Let's bring our troops home now, before this cancer can spread any further!

Hat tip to Instapundit.

UPDATE:
The candidate telling you we're not safer since our actions following 9-11 is lying to you.

We're safer because of the men and women who've been on heightened alert since 9/11 and *NOT* because of our presence in Iraq. Our operations in Iraq is draining our resources at home and that makes us vulnerable economically. The weaker our dollar becomes the less influence we have in the global community which directly affects our security/safety. We have been led to believe that Bin Laden is some 15 foot tall bogeyman that was hiding out with Saddam Hussein when in fact we had him and his small group of followers cornered in Afghanistan.

Our choice to go to Iraq was a dumb move.

LOL. The sad truth is that this administration's obsession with Iraq has ignored other major threats to our country such as:

....the emergence of China, India, Russia and Europe; the spread of lethal weapons and dangerous diseases; uncertain supplies of energy, food and water; the persistence of poverty; ethnic animosities and state failures; a rapidly warming planet; the challenge to nation states from above and below.....On George Bush's watch, Iran, not freedom, has been on the march: Iran is much closer to the bomb; its influence in Iraq is expanding; its terrorist proxy Hezbollah is ascendant in Lebanon and that country is on the brink of civil war.....Beyond Iran, al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan – the people who actually attacked us on 9/11 – are stronger now than at any time since 9/11. Radical recruitment is on the rise. Hamas controls Gaza and launches rockets at Israel every day. Some 140,000 American troops remain stuck in Iraq with no end in sight.....-Washington Post May 23, 2008

You can say how safe we are all you like but the fact that there hasn't been a major attack is due in part to our security and intelligence agencies actually doing their jobs. There have been several attempts made over the years (some not publicized) that have been foiled.

So is it true we haven't had an attack the scale of 9/11 on our soil? Yes. Does that mean we're safer? No.

Iraq was a dumb move. It was an optional war that distracted us from a necessary war in Afghanistan.
