Irony

In '68-'69 I hugged my loved ones and was transported halfway around the world, got shot at and daily put myself into situations not conducive to longevity, trying to keep a group of perfect strangers from being subjected to a Socialist government.

Try to imagine how I feel today.

Ironic doesn't quite cover it, does it?

Unbelievable. Unimagineable. Crazy. Insane.

Nothing quiet covers it.

if obamas politics are communist to you,in your opinion Germany, almost entire Europe must be communist too?

Rechecking my post...
Nope.
Don't see the word communist there anywhere!
Anon...
Please go read the definitions for "Marxist", "Socialist", and "Communist". When you are clear on the differences, come on back and try again.
Thanks for stoppin' by!

yeah, the thing is, the UdSSr wasn`t a Socialist government, it was a Communist Regime. You should re-check what you fought against..

Okay, I'll cede your point.
Still, considering the history I was watching unfold around me, what I wanted to stop was creeping socialism.
I failed.

Try looking up "Fabian Socialist."

And GB, ironic, it is.

thirdwavedave.. and the connection to the implicit subject here, Obama, is what exactly?

GB, what do you think is "socialist" about Obama? I keep hearing the charge but don't know why.

Curious..

Why don't you move to Canada? I mean if you are genuine about your beliefs, it seems that you feel you are in almost mortal peril. Seems like the only option.

By the way, I found some interesting information about Sarah Palin

I understand, Sarah.
You and 52% of the U.S. population are apparently in the same boat. Isn't that sad?

Scoon-
Canadians come to the U.S. in huge herds. The Florida economy bursts with Canadian money from 1 January to the end of March. Why?

Canadians seeking timely, competent medical care come to the United States for the care they'd have to wait months/years for in Canada. (That's about to "Change". Ha!)
I'm frightened of our move to socialism here.
Citizens in Canada have to break their stupid gun laws in order to survive...
There is no such thing as "Freedom of Speech" there.
Why should Canada attract me?
