".... In My Adult Life...."

She said, "For the first time in my adult life...." and finished that sentence with words that shocked me. Later in the week she repeated the statement, and public reaction was such that the democrat party wisely took Michelle out of public view for a while to allow things to cool down.

Now let me share something with you:
I'll start my sentence the same way but finish it differently...

For the first time in my adult life I'm truly afraid of what will happen when the results of this election are tabulated. I fear it won't be pretty, no matter the outcome.
It may be disastrous.

Obama's friends from ACORN are working in Ohio to lock-in the vote for him there.
(If you don't know his history with this organization, you need to google it and him and educate yourself.)
Democrat operatives around the St. Louis area are denying constituents their right to freedom of speech in order to insure nothing bad is said about their candidate.
This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

So, why am I afraid?
In the face of all this vote corruption, does my vote mean anything?
How will I feel when all the votes are counted?
I'm fearful that I, and millions of others like me, will feel this election has been stolen by ACORN, democrat brown-shirts, and a national press that, like CBS in the previous election, has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for democrat party talking points. (You are no doubt aware that the moderator of tonight's "debate" has written a book praising the messiah, to be released inauguration day, right?)
Many have made the accusation (incorrectly) that the 2000 election was stolen.
The election of 2008 truly could be.
How will conservatives react if they feel their votes were nullified?

"Progressives", remember this:
We conservatives tend to cling to our Bibles and guns.
Most of us have several of both.
We already know we cannot trust our media. We're beginning to learn we can no longer trust our government.
How badly do you want to win? How far down this path do you truly want to go?

Bible and guns...
Conservatives have both and know how to use them. We'll rely on the Bible, no matter what. It's my fervent hope we won't feel compelled to use the guns.

My family is also scared witless. The combination of the Dastardly Fourth Estate, Party Corruption, and Big money just plain scare me. I will vote and help others that need to vote and pray and make plans A, B, C, and D.

So you're scared, huh? Well that's how millions of the *other* America have felt about our country these last eight years when they felt Bush *stole* the election.

This planet will continue to spin around it's axis regardless of who wins. The messiah won't push back the tides but he just might make health care affordable for some people. REAL SCARY!!!

And go ahead I dare you to use your guns. I'm surprised the most cynical in your camp haven't used it yet considering how well they've used the bible.

Good point Rodolfo.
Why do they think he stole the election?

I cannot believe that, with the country in financial crisis, with our system of government at risk of dying, people like Rodolfo are still living in the past.

Good God. It was eigh years ago, you moron. Get over it.

And we all know how dastardly The Bible is, what with all that love thy neighbor stuff in it. Better we follow the 'kill the infidel' thinking.

Greybeard - do you really want me to email you? You can always drop me a line at cinjinn at hotmail dot com.

Now-now CJ...
I was totally feeling the "love" from Rodolfo's comments about my Christianity.
I forgive him.
Moron?
No, he's not. And that is what is most frightening. Lots of very intelligent people don't have the slightest idea what the Hell the messiah really stands for, but have taken his bait hook, line, sinker, and pole.

Rodolfo, I think my friend CJ will allow me to apologize for her impulsiveness. She's in law enforcement and may have had a bad day dealing with Obama supporters.
Still, I'm waiting for an answer to my last query of you...
Please educate me!

CJ-I would like to forget about it except...THE GUY YOU VOTED IN STILL PRESIDENT! November can't come soon enough. Palin is Bush in lipstick. If you like our country's condition now then a vote for McCain/Palin is four more years of it.

I didn't pay attention to all the hoopla down here in the lower 48. I was on the bridge of a tall ship sailing through the Gulf of Alaska when 9/11 hit. Young, dumb and straight out of high school. I didn't care that Bush won. I didn't care he won in 2004. But a funny thing happens when you're free from responsibilities and actually get time to read.

GB-There's several instances of voting anomalies that are on record for you to see. Do I believe all of the accusations? No. But I am aware of voter suppression that has occurred throughout our history so I wouldn't be shocked if it were true.

The point in my comment is that there are millions in this country who are pissed off the libruls lost. Whether the accusations are true or not you will know how the other half of the country will feel should Obama win. I find it ironic that you think an Obama win will be tainted. Isn't he the black guy running against the white guy? Maybe this country has come a long way. It's usually the other way around.

I have no problem with bible. My problem is when they are used by
cynical people to divide and instill FEAR. By the way why to this day are we still talking about Jesus? He was like soooooooooo two thousand years ago.

GB-Do you believe in the anti-christ? I find that argument is so beneath you.

CJ said...

Greybeard -

You're right. It was out of line. Sorry, Rodolfo. But, my point is still valid - it was eight years ago. Bush is done. Can't you move on?

Greybeard said...

Well Rodolfo, you've got to take into consideration the fact that I'm just 61 and I'm still surprised by the world on a daily basis. I'm still learning.
Tell me more about this anti-Christ.

cjh-what's done is done. It's the Bush-Cheney *policies* that will linger for a while. Unlike some of my liberal friends I believe in American exceptionalism. Maybe Bush had a plan to keep us exceptional but it sure didn't work. I think we can all agree that
America is better than these last eight years.

GB-You tell me. Supposed to be like End Times or Armageddon or something. Will he be like the character in the Left Behind series? Is he of Muslim descent? I don't know. But it's stupid. I bet there were many in this country that figured Bill Clinton to be the anti-christ at one point. Now it's Obama. Or wait is he the messiah?

Again, I think you're overstating things. It's slow going, but since I didn't know anything about ACORN and Obama, I have been reading through all the results of googling "obama acorn,." So far, after getting though the first 4 articles (all anti-Obama), there's nothing of any substance. All the articles promise dramatic proof of connection, but the best they can come up with is "Obama dis some work for this ACORN person who later was arrested for disrupting something." Maybe there'll be something more substantial when I get farther down the google results, but there's nothing that sounds like brown shirts to me.

As for which party has the media in it's pocket, it's pretty even, I'll have to dig up which fredoneverything.net column has the best summary.

May I kindly say that at 44 you're graciously overlooking media bias in this election, Ward?
MUCH has been made in the media about Sarah Palin covering for her daughter by claiming Tryg is hers, while they avoided mentioning John Edward's sordid affair at all.
(Now of course we know that it is mathematically impossible for him to be Willow's, but do you see any retracting being done by the media? I don't.)

The "newspaper of record" made a big deal about reports of John McCain's affair with an advisor...
Front page news(!), but avoids investigating Obama's near-15 year association with a terrorist who planted several bombs that could easily have ended the live's of many people...
A man who still revels in wiping his feet on Old Glory.
(This morning I'm reading online reports there are things the NYT conveniently left out of their reporting about Obama/Ayers in a story they published yesterday.)

I think the Obama/Ayers association will begin to be such a hot topic the major media will have to report on it during the next 30 days. But isn't it disgusting that in trying to further their candidates successes, they have left most americans in the dark about Obama's Marxist/Socialist tendencies? I'm disgusted that this will now begin to look like an "October surprise". If the NYT, CBS, NBC/MSNBC hadn't had a "tingle down their leg" about this bad actor, these disgusting associations would have been spotlighted LONG ago, and we might have had a more viable democrat candidate.

The fact that the major media is in the tank for Obama is why many of us do not trust most of those outlets for news any longer.
How sad.

Speaking of stolen elections:

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/10432334/was_the_2004_election_stolen

I am baffled by suspicion of the left tweaking an election when the recent past has this never-followed up on reek.

Republican "voter fraud" worries seem to have resulted mainly in vote suppression and "caging".

Why do they think he stole the election?

And who do you trust GB? Fox news? worldnetdaily? israeliinsider.com? The fact is the average American can't rely on any ONE news source. You have to read multiple sources from every biased corner to get a *feel* for the truth.

It's no secret Palin's gonna go on the attack regarding Ayers. Will it work? I suspect no. And I hope not. This election is too important to dwell on character assasinations.

Have faith in our Constitution. Our founding fathers created a blueprint that allows our government and society to correct for mistakes. Your idea that somehow electing a Democrat is the fast track to a communist society is bogus. Communism as an ideology has FAILED.

So what's your take on the anti-christ? Are these next fifty years the End Times?

Greybeard said...

Lst's see now. This is my list so far:
Rezko
Ayers
Wright
Farakhan
Hezbollah and the PLO.
And that is only the list of people I'd be afraid to find were in my same county.
Will more cockroaches and rats be exposed in upcoming weeks?
We judge a man by his character. What sort of character surrounds himself with such negativity?

About the end times...
My Bible tells me no one knows when Christ will return. It also tells me my faith in Christ means I need not worry about it.
You seem mighty interested in it Rodolfo. There's an easy way to stop worrying.

Anonymous said...

And all you have is classic guilt by association. You have ZERO EVIDENCE whatsoever of wrongdoing by Obama. How is Obama guilty for something an idiot did when he was eight years old? These character assasinations are nothing more than an attempt to distract Americans from the real issues that affect their lives. Perhaps our country needs to sink into further decay for everyone to finally realize that we can't continue doing the same thing every four years and expect a different result. McCain/Palin is more of the same.

I'm worried that someone who believes that the Earth is 4000 years old is going to be a heartbeat away from our nuclear codes. That's a recipe for disaster.

McCain on the other hand is *guilt by guilt* with his Keating 5 involvement.

Until you pin Obama down on something concrete you got nothing but smears GB. You got nothing on him. While your country is burning you insist on Karl Rove tactics to drown out the issues. You placed your hopes on Bush thinking he'll advance your agenda. You were fooled. Now you think Palin is the GOP savior? It's time for change. This is why we have elections.

Nevada Raids ACORN Office

From the AP:

Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state's office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.

Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names.

The raid comes two months after state and federal authorities formed a task force to pursue election-fraud allegations in Nevada.

note-Nevada Secretary of State and Attorney General are both Democrats.
