that is pretty sweet...
It's still the 747 that makes me stop what I'm doing to watch the thing get airborne...it's still a miracle.
I have heard that the wings flex about 10 feet right after takeoff as they support the weight of the fuselage...

the "seven-four" is still my favorite airplane...

You know, that's how the FIRST Air France Airbus Industrie A320 got torn apart by the forest at the end of the aerodrome back in 1988? Remember that?

Neither of the two AF Captains had checked the strip and programmed the wrong mode. The plane dropped like a rock, had too severe an angle of attack and its SNECMA engines got spooled up WAAAAY too late.

Doing an exhibition.

Apparently, these pilots were smarter.
