Will You Watch The "Jobs" Speech?
Fred Imus, (Don's younger brother), died a few days back. His appearances on the "Imus in the Morning" show always put a smile on my face. I TIVO the show and fast forward through most of it, slowing only for a few political interviews and Fred's now-and-then bits.
Just after BOzo's State of the Union address Don asked Fred if he had watched the speech. Fred replied he watched long enough to realize Obama didn't intend to resign, then switched the channel.
That's pretty much how I intend to handle Thursday's speech. I'll watch long enough to see which political factor will be furious by the end, then I'll start looking for a documentary somewhere on the WWII Lancaster bomber or an old "Honeymooner's" episode.
If there truly is a bombshell, (HA!), I'll catch it later on FOX News.
Are you gonna watch?

Obama has been president for two and a half years, during which record unemployment was present for damn near all of it. Until recently, unemployment was apparently not a priority item for him, if he wasn't trying to get reelected, it still wouldn't be.
I'm with you, I'm not expecting much of anything.
Just cannot bring myself to watch even that long. I figure should the world turn on it's axis (which is the only thing that would cause this ego-maniac to resign), I'd know it in a less painless way than getting my ears assaulted.
No need to watch it. Here it is a brief:
Bush's fault. Things worse than we knew. GOP fault. Grand Compromise. Tax credits for those who do not pay taxes. Rich people do not pay their fair share. Stimulus (Construction job bank/schools/infrastructure). Green jobs. GOP fault. Tsunami/Arab Spring/Earthquake/Hurricane/fault. Blame the GOP. Spend/tax/spend. Blame GOP.Goodnight.
I usually stick around to find out how much it's going to end up costing me. I remember the days when i could watch a presidential speech and not know, from the beginning, that the bill is going to be at least a trillion dollars.
Why would I bother listening to that idiot? I have better things to do with my life. If I need to know any points from it, I'll catch it later on instapundit.
Naw, I'm sick of seeing that petulant, arrogant dork on TV. He'll spout more of the same "blame Bush, blame congress, blame everyone but me" crap.

I was, thankfully, working. During part of my shift, I had the honor of watching a bunch of college students place 2,795 flags into the ground as part of a tribute to the victims of September 11th.
Definitely the better end of the deal.
