"Oh (Deleted Expletive)!"
Cool heads, both in the cockpit and on the ground. Airliners have great anti-ice systems to deal with this. The rest of us try to avoid it all all costs.
Iced up and both engines out? Made me flinch just listening.
Hit freezing rain once in a C-150. Kept my speed to the runway. Stalled at 70 mph indicated - assuming the reading was anywhere near accurate. Never want to do that again.

That had me on the edge of my seat.
Amazing on both sides of that conversation. Truly.
Thanks for sharing.

yikes!
Excellent example of professionalism on both sides... and icing is a NO WIN... And they were right, 'somebody' was looking out for them!!!
Excuse me while I pry my fingernails out of my palm.
Some people are scared of the dark, or of guns. I'm scared spitless (but pray God, not witless) of icing.
