Mercury Comet- 100+ M.P.H. For 100,000 Miles!

I can still remember the catchy advertising jingle from 1964-
"A hundred-thousand miles at a hundred miles an hour!"
And it  seems like an amazing feat to this day.
Day. Dark. Hurricane/rain...

    That six-cylinder served Ford a LONG, LONG time Ed!
    I heard Henry Ford once made the comment that the company had made it TOO TOUGH.
