Ashamed

I was ashamed of my country when we abandoned our allies in Viet Nam.
I'm ashamed today because we learned absolutely nothing from that experience.
What happened to "Duty. Honor. Country."?

    I understand the sentiment, but I am not responsible.
    I oppose this regime.
    They and their supporters bear the shame.
