Well I know the Hughes/MD369 about as well as you do, CJ. But it has been my experience these things normally are painted Day-Glo Orange and have a "Remove Before Flight, Stupid!" banner hanging from them. The lock would have been right at his feet... how could he not have seen it before coming to a hover? Senseless.

Wow. Admittedly, I know nothing about pre-flighting nor flying but a pedal lock sure sounds like something one shouldn't forget. How sad.
