Twenty... (42?) Years Ago
Forty-two years ago today I left the home I had known for 18 years and rode a bus to Ft. Knox, KY, drafted by my Uncle Sam. I tried to turn lemons into lemonade, and that desire finds me where I am today. Still, once in a while I go home and look at my old neighborhood and think of all the water that has passed beneath the bridge. This song brings on the rain:
Thank you, also, for your service. I know I've mentioned it before, especially over dinner, but the legacy you and your generation started can never be forgotten.
